 FLEXION/DISTRACTION
DIVERSIFIED
ACTIVATOR

A gentle decompression technique that has been very successful in the treating of disc injuries including bulging, herniation, degeneration, and stenosis.  This is a very popular technique with severely degenerated low backs as well as many others who don't tolerate a strong type adjustment, but want more than an instrument adjustment.

The tried and true "hands on" type of adjusting.  This technique can be performed with a wide range of force depending on the case. Diversified is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust. Diversified is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction.

Instrument adjusting that is very low force and gentle.  Used most commonly with extreme pain situations as well as with people who are afraid of being adjusted hands on. The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) involves having the patient lie in a prone position and comparing the functional leg lengths. Often one leg will seem to be shorter than the other.

DROP TABLE

ACTIVATOR

A movable section of the table pops up about half inch and releases down with a varying amount of force depending on the patient. The patient lies on a special table with sections that drop down. The chiropractor applies a quick thrust at the same time the section drops. The dropping of the table allows for a lighter adjustment without the twisting positions that can accompany other techniques.
